Use real research-grade instruments and data to investigate objects like super-nova remnants and distant star clusters. One small step as a space explorer, one giant step in launching your career in space.
Mission Control Camp: Martian Frontier
-Do you have what it takes to plan a mission to another planet?
Gain confidence, learn space science, and strive to make it to Mars in this combination role-play—academic camp. The wide variety of topics makes this camp a good fit for a range of interests. Clemson & PARI Summer Camps
Milky Way Trailblazers:
-Map the Milky Way and plot a path for future explorers!

Secrets of a Spy Station
Encrypted messages, codes, and ciphers!
What better setting than PARI, which once operated as a spy station for the Department of Defense during the Cold War, where messages were being intercepted and deciphered? Another element in the sending of secrets is how you transport them from place to place. We’ll take a look at the technologies, both past and present, that allow information to zip out to distant satellites and back down to Earth. How do we make sure our sensitive transmissions don’t end up in the wrong hands?
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships may be available for families with financial need. Email - camps[AT]pari.edu for more information.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Campers from every state and beyond are welcome at PARI.

If mission control calls to you, come plan your own mission to another planet, your trajectory, crew and rocket at the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute's Space Exploration Camps.
PARI Space Exploration Camps is a unique site, rich in space science history, and is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, where an abundance of adventures await. From tubing to waterfall swimming and roller skating, there are fun, refreshing activities for everyone.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Available to 17 year olds at Camp Ridgecrest for Boys. The SALT Program is for former campers or those new to camp who wish to be part of camp life, but more importantly seek to develop leadership, service, and discipleship abilities. SALT participants live together under the supervision of a director who is typically upperclassmen in college or a college graduate. Spaces are limited to 7-10 per session. Sessions last 4 weeks. The cost of the program is $800 (a quarter of what it would cost as a camper). This money goes back into the SALT program to pay for their trips, entertainment and basic needs in order to increase the quality of their time and training while at camp. The SALT program has three main components: service, discipleship, and fellowship. The camp administration sees this as a vital part of developing the long-term leadership of Camp Ridgecrest and beyond. SALT positions are typically given by Christmas.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.
Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. What was most surprising, however, was the amount of absolute beginners in attendance - more than 50% of the total enrollment was just starting to play chess. This realization led to the national rollout tour of 100 camps in more than 70 cities. The annual tours have been immensely successful with several thousand campers attending this year alone.
USA Chess thrives on providing a structured environment that is extremely conducive to learning chess. We handpick the best children's chess instructors from all over the United States and bring them to each camp. We believe our team is most effective in teaching chess to children of all ages and levels. The exceptional organization and ever-fun curriculum has fueled much interest from scholastic players and coaches from around the country, prompting them to request USA Chess camps in their areas.
At the same summer camp locations, we also offer the immensely popular Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Camps, The Active Learning Computer Animation Programs, and other Computer Enrichment Programs such as Modding, Networking and Hosting with Minecraft. We now offer seven unique programs in all.
At these camps, children are assigned a computer for the week; they spend the week learning to create their own one-of- a- kind video games in our Gamebuilder Camps, Animation Projects in our Animation Camps, also Modding, Networking and Hosting with Minecraft.
