CAMP FACILITIES: Our Santa Clara camps are held in a spacious and inviting home with a beautiful outdoor space for math movement, games, and activities.

The Portola Valley location is surrounded by trees and nature, and includes a classroom, kitchen, library, and other mini-spaces for math exploration.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We believe play is the ideal way for kids to tap into their curiosity and love of math--and to motivate themselves to even greater challenge and mastery.

Too many kids have only experienced math as tedious, boring rules with no connection to real life. Math Quest camps change all that, making math exciting and fun even for kids who think they are "bad at math".

CAMP FACILITIES: This is a day and residential camp for interested students.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Levels: There will be four levels at the camp: Programming, USACO Bronze, USACO Silver, and USACO Gold. During the camp, adjustments can be made to the level (depending on space availability) if faculty and student agree that a different level would be more beneficial to the student. Maximum capacity for each class is 16. Our small class size lets us have different learner groups in the same class (ex. beginner, inter, advanced). Each group may different topics and problems based on their level.

We would like to maximize student potential so that we don't limit student learning with lecturing-to-all style teaching. In this way, students can proceed on their own paces. Curriculum: The students will be equipped with necessary background in lectures and trained with different types of problems to master various problem solving techniques.

The classes are problem solving-based and the curriculum is aligned with USA Computing Olympiad (USACO). Lectures are given by A* Faculty and other instructors who have participation and/or training experience in national/internationals Olympiads such as USACO and International Olympiads in Informatics.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our camps take place in our theater and surrounding spaces. We have a mainstage, a green room/rehearsal room with mirrors, and some outdoor rehearsal space. We also share space with the Foster City Recreation department, and a local school.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Hillbarn Theatre Conservatory, formed in 2000, is a theatre arts education program serving the needs of youth and adolescents, ages 4-18, in Foster City and the mid-peninsula area.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

CAMP FACILITIES: Most camp activities take place in the gardens and courtyards of the beautiful and historic Temple/Bixby home, an original adobe structure dating to the late 1800s. Through a sustained community effort, the site has many original items, and has been preserved and restored professionally to help create an authentic experience for visitors.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The program, now in its 8th year, provides affordable, well supervised, and engaging historic activities, games, and craft projects on the beautiful grounds of the Temple/Bixby adobe, one of the oldest structures in Long Beach. In addition to sack and three legged races, cow chipping, and charades, children will also create a variety of take home crafts like tooled leather, tin punch lanterns, and herb sachets.

The camp's programs create a fun and festive atmosphere for participants, yet still help to shape some understanding about living and working in Old California. Each week has a unique focus, and some themed activities, but also will include many of the fun things kids look forward to who come for multiple weeks.

Example activities include herding, leather tooling, sack races, charades, songs & stories, cowboy vests, croquet, boot craft, Western dancing, tissue paper flowers, tin punch lanterns, making adobe, and mud pies.

The camp is staffed by trained teenage volunteers who have an established involvement with the Rancho, and who are supervised by Dr. Meighan Maguire, PhD in Communications from UCSD.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Our summer program is the most popular program of the year! PRIDE'S teachers are all credentialed and certified in Orton-Gillingham methodology.

This intensive one-on-one reading and writing program utilizes our multi-sensory, phonemic, Orton-Gillingham approach that we at PRIDE Learning Center are experts at. This program helps students in a way that a regular summer school program would not. Students progress one entire reading level in 4-5 weeks!

Students attend Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm or 12:30 - 3:30pm.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: At MehtA+, we ignite student passion for engineering. Our offerings are catered towards students from Kindergarten to College Freshman and involve a fusion of the humanities and the sciences. We believe the best way to learn something is to apply it and as such, all of our opportunities are application-based.

Our bootcamps give students an in-depth opportunity to learn concepts that are normally taught at the university level, while our workshops serve as a fantastic introduction to a new subject. In order to make engineering education more accessible, our digital kits are always free to everyone and allow students to create something awesome. Volunteerships are offered to former students who are looking to volunteer their time and apply what they have learned for social good, as they intern for one of our clients.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have three total locations (2 in California, Irvine, and Yorba Linda). 1 in Chatham, NJ. Regarding the California locations, we have two offices and ample recreation space in each location. There is also a clubhouse in Yorba Linda called (the Troy Club) that is where we host activities for the Summer Camp. The Troy Club has an ample gathering space, a playground, tables and seating, and a large heated pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SFCC uses a behavioral program to replace ineffective, inappropriate behaviors with positive and effective behaviors. Because the camp environments are similar to the camper’s natural environments, it is very likely that the behaviors taught at SFCC will generalize to the individual’s natural settings (home, school, etc.).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The seed of Sessions Songwriting and Music sprung to life in 2007 when its founder, Lauren Bruns, was discussing with a good friend and mother of two that there was a gaping hole in many of the musical programs offered in Los Angeles. Not one school was offering a songwriting component in which kids could express themselves through words and music simultaneously.

Lauren knew firsthand how songwriting benefited her life as a young adult and set out on a mission to create an easy-to-follow curriculum that inspired kids of all musical levels to create and express themselves through original lyrics and music. CAMP FACILITIES: The school campus is 27,000 square meters and equips with state-of-art facilities which provide students with comfortable and convenient environment for learning and living. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: An advanced class for high achieving high school students interested in pursuing a career in medicine or related fields, such as pharmacy, nursing, biomedical research or drug development. Through engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory classes, students learn about normal molecular and cellular biology from PhD-level instructors, and then learn how these normal processes are distorted to cause the development of cancer. A similar style is used to teach Molecular Neuroscience, Molecular Immunology and Molecular Biology of Development and Aging. To conclude the workshop, students use what they have learned to create an original research project on a gene of their choice. Free time includes planned activities such as sports and field trips.

Summer 2019 Molecular Biology of Cancer, Molecular Neuroscience, Molecular Immunology and Molecular Biology of Development and Aging science camps will be held at the University of California, Berkeley (6/2-6/15, 6/16-6/29), and University of California, San Diego (7/7-7/20).

CAMP FACILITIES: 6 large camper cabins that have restrooms and showers and are all wheelchair accessible, outdoor pool, recreation lodges, indoor dining hall, outdoor basketball court, picnic area, infirmary, sports field and 3 amphitheaters (1 large and 2 small), access to several hiking trails within the State Park. CAMP FACILITIES: Mariposa Day Camp, located in Altadena, offers themed weeks with several different emphases for girls to choose from. Girls participate in new and traditional Girl Scouts activities while making new friends, developing self-esteem and making lasting memories. Introducing new and exciting activities this summer such as a brand new gaga court, low ropes and team building activities plus kids kitchen which gives each girl the opportunity to prepare a fun and different snack each week. Making a miniature robot, launching film canister rockets, and mixing up a batch of slime are just a few of the fun things we have planned for this week of scientific discovery. STEAM will come alive as we explore all of these subjects through hands on experiments and demonstrations. Brownies will learn all about bubbles, slime, and static electricity while they also earn their Home Scientist badge. Juniors and Cadettes will design their own video games while earning the Videogame Designer patch. Full STEAM ahead!

Welcome to the Jungle! This week of camp is all about our furry, scaly, and slimy friends who call the jungle home. Campers will learn about animals and ecosystems while brushing up on the outdoor skills they need to visit our furry friends in their natural habitats. We will even have a few special visitors from the animal kingdom! Brownies will earn their Hiker badge, Juniors will earn steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 of their Camper badge, and Cadettes will earn parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 of their Trailblazer badge.

Are you a born performer or is directing more your style? Join us as we explore life on the stage and screen. Girls will learn about writing a screenplay, honing their acting skills through improvisation games, and the art of movie make-up. The whole camp will show off what they have learned in a Friday performance. Brownies will earn their Dancer badge, Juniors will earn their Musician badge, and Cadettes will earn their Screenwriter badge.

Whether you’re a chef in the making or a newbie to the kitchen, join us for a week long culinary adventure. Girls will learn how to make delicious meals, satisfying snacks, and dazzling desserts. We will also be covering nutrition, international cooking, and much more! Brownies will earn their Snacks badge, Juniors will earn their Simple Meals badge, and Cadettes will earn their New Cuisines badge. Girls entering the 4 grade and up are invited to join us for an extended day at camp that includes a special outdoor cooking feast and a campfire program.

Can you discover who stole the cookies from the cookie jar? Sharpen your detective skills as we learn about the science behind forensics on our quest to unravel the mystery of the missing cookies! Girls will learn about fingerprinting, DNA, and much more. Brownies will earn their Senses badge, Juniors will earn their Detective badge, and Cadettes will earn their Special Agent badge.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: From the first camp that we ever held, our goal was to allow your children to explore the many wonders of technology, giving them the opportunity to explore technologies that for some were unimaginable. In our camps we offer topics in 2D game development, 3D game development, web design, electronics, 3D character design, and other topics on varying platforms taught by our knowledgeable instructors. Your child will be exposed to a large range of topics over the course of the week.

All our staff and instructors are specialized in the STEAM area. Our instructors also receive a full background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and they are fingerprinted with the Department of Justice (DOJ).

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Tech STEAM Center and Kids That Code, Inc. are excited to bring the first ever STEAM After-School Program to the Canyon Crest Towne Centre. Students will be guided and allowed to explore the many wonders of technology. They will have the opportunity to learn about, and use, technologies that, for some, were unimaginable. The topics range from 2D game development, 3D game development, web design, electronics, 3D character design, and other topics on varying platforms and hardware. Our commitment is to expand our students’ knowledge in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA Camp is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. A week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp location, YEA is designed to be a fun and transformative experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues.

Campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, animal rights) and at YEA they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue long after camp is over. Youth who have participated in our programs report that the camp was one of the most fun, rewarding and life-changing experiences they have had, and, with YEA's community support, have gone on to start school clubs, plan fundraisers for nonprofits, organize community clean-ups, and attend hearings to comment about important community issues.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students will be introduced to a simple engineering process based on these five steps: Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve, and Ask. Students not only learn science principles, but they will create robots that move objects, find their own way around obstacles, play soccer, respond to light or motion, navigate through a maze, and even challenge other robots. Working in pairs, students will start with simple structures and then begin to make a robot through intermediate levels of construction, proper use of blocks, motors, mainboard, IR sensors and remote control.

Student�s imaginations will soar as they discover the endless possibilities. This summer program will culminate with their own designed robot for presentation.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Robot Edutainment is looking for Moms, Students, Recent Graduates, and Any Individual interested in teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in after-school programs in the Los Angeles area.

Teachers will be using robot kits to teach children in grades 3 - 6 how to assemble structures, introduction in electronics, and programming the robots in a curriculum designed to immerse children in concepts of mathematics, science, and engineering.

We surround you with a network of like-minded individuals to share ideas and a population of kids who are eager to learn from you. We also provide initial training on both how to instruct and Robotics, Computers and GUI Programming.

Instructors generally teach classes Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6:00 pm or Saturday from 9 AM to 4:00 PM. We offer flexible hours-even 2 hrs/week is available!

Excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, and moms to reinforce technical and creative skills while having a fun teaching experience at one of our great learning centers.

We provide competitive rates, individual must have a car, be drug free and willing to submit to a background check (require for TB Tests & Finger Prints).

Ideal Applicant for teaching will have one or more of the following qualities:
-Having teaching experience in a classroom setting (Teaching credential or education certificate will be a plus).
